Helps women advance their CRE careers

Garnered CBRE Canada's inaugural Changemaker Award

In her role as a senior vice-president with CBRE, Tara Finnegan focuses on solutions that are as beneficial to the bottom line as they are to the built environments themselves.

Based in Vancouver, she has been an innovative member of the Canadian commercial real estate community since launching her career with CBRE in 2002. Finnegan has developed a national network of clients who share her passion for brand definition, environmental responsibility, and social-impact initiatives that translate to positive change within communities.

She partners creatively with her clients in all aspects of securing lease premises, adjusting requirements for maximum flexibility while protecting financial interests. As a result, her claims generate value through the acquisition of commercial property.

In 2015, Finnegan launched 10X10 Philanthropy Vancouver in 2015 to support grassroots philanthropic initiatives and inspire active participation among professionals in the city. Throughout her time in the commercial real estate industry, she has helped women advance their careers. Her examples of support, include serving as the co-chair of CBRE’s National Diversity Equity and Inclusion Council.

And, Finnegan was awarded the inaugural Changemaker Award by CBRE Canada for her significant positive impact on the company, industry and in the community.

These are just some of the reasons why Connect Canada CRE honoured Tara Finnegan with a 2025 Canadian Women in Real Estate Award. The awards celebrate the achievements and inspirational stories of women who have reached respected leadership positions and taken on mentorship roles.
