Arc’teryx to Open Coquitlam Store: Report

Arc’teryx will open a new store in the Vancouver suburb of Coquitlam, the Tri-City News reported.

The store will be located at Coquitlam Centre, one of Metro Vancouver’s largest retail properties. The opening is expected to occur in late summer, a company spokeswoman told the Tri-City News.

North Vancouver, B.C.-based Arc’teryx currently has 10 stores in B.C., with most located in Metro Vancouver.

The company recently opened its first Alpha-concept store in downtown Toronto.

The large-format outlet is the company’s largest in Canada and comprises 9,274 square feet. It is located at 50 Bloor Street West. The concept name is derived from the mountain equipment and apparel chain’s hard shell Alpha SV jacket.

Arc’teryx said the inaugural Alpha store format will anchor future stores featuring the same concept, starting this summer.
