Axium Opens New Packaging Plant in Brampton
Axium Packaging has opened a new 227,000-square-foot plant in the Toronto suburb of Brampton, Ont.
The manufacturing facility comprises the company’s third Ontario location. The company was founded in Mississauga, Ont., in 2010 and is still incorporated in Canada but has since relocated its headquarters to New Albany, Ohio.
Axium said the new Brampton facility positions the company to deliver faster, more sustainable consumer-goods packaging solutions in one of North America’s fastest-growing markets.
“This facility leverages the latest Axium equipment and processing technology and will be a platform to serve our customers across Canada with speed and agility,” said Axium Founder and CEO Pushminder Judge, whose family owns the firm. “Canada is home for us, and Brampton is the ideal place to keep building on that vision while supporting our employees, their families and economic development throughout the region.”
Axium said the facility is designed with performance and scale in mind. It is integrated with company’s enterprise resource-management system.
The plant is located near Axium’s first facility and Toronto Pearson International Airport. The company said the development reflects its continued growth.
Axium’s platform now comprises 25 facilities across North America.
