Broccolini Starts 62K-SF Expansion Of Coke Canada Bottling Plant

Coke Canada Bottling and Broccolini have broken ground on a 62,000-SF expansion of the beverage company’s largest Canadian facility in Brampton.

The addition at 15 Westcreek Blvd. will expand the existing 670,000-SF manufacturing and distribution complex, taking the facility to roughly 732,000 SF when completed.

Construction is underway alongside active manufacturing, distribution and logistics operations, with Broccolini using phased construction and co-ordination designed to avoid disrupting production.

“Delivering an expansion of this scale and complexity within a facility that never stops running reflects the depth of our industrial construction platform in Ontario,” Broccolini CEO Anthony Broccolini said.

The project includes a new technology enabled can production line intended to increase local production capacity and allow Coke Canada Bottling to bring new beverages to market faster. The company has previously said the line will add capacity for at least 20 million cases annually.

The Brampton complex employs about 1,300 people across manufacturing, warehousing, distribution, customer service and local sales operations.

Coke Canada Bottling has invested more than $230 million in its Brampton manufacturing and distribution operations since becoming an independent, family owned bottler in 2018.

The company operates five manufacturing facilities and more than 50 sales and distribution centres across Canada.

The Brampton expansion is targeted for completion in late 2027.
