Cobourg Proposal Would Add 345 Seniors Housing Units

Belle Station has submitted applications for a nine-storey, 241-unit retirement residence and 104 seniors apartments, including ground-floor commercial space. Cobourg declared the applications complete Aug. 5 and has scheduled a public meeting for Aug. 26.

The proposal would add 345 seniors housing units to the Belle Station community in Cobourg’s East Village subdivision.

A separate apartment component is already under construction at 535 John Keefer Mahony. Mistral Developments describes that project as two five-storey buildings connected by a central podium, with 102 units across approximately 200,000 square feet.

RFA Planning Consultant is supporting the site plan process for the 102-unit building. Mistral has not disclosed construction values, development timelines or commercial leasing details for the proposed retirement residence and seniors apartments.
