Conrad Joins RE/MAX Canada as Vice-president of Commercial

Industry leader Damon Conrad has joined RE/MAX Canada as the head of its commercial real estate business, the company announced Monday.

RE/MAX said Conrad’s appointment as vice-president of commercial strengthens the company’s CRE operations across the country.

Conrad joined the brokerage from Royal LePage Commercial, where he served as vice-president and general manager, and brings more than 20 years of experience in the sector, including roles with Cushman & Wakefield and Second Cup Coffee Company. Based in Toronto, he will oversee innovation and expansion as the brand continues to modernize its technology and identity, including a refreshed RE/MAX Commercial logo. RE/MAX has more than 15,000 commercial brokers across 580-plus offices with a presence in more than 110 countries and territories.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Damon to REMAX Canada,” said Don Kottick, president of REMAX Canada. “His proven track record in building national platforms, expanding agent networks and delivering strategic leadership across top-tier brands makes him an exceptional addition to our team.

“Damon’s vision and experience will be instrumental in elevating our commercial offering and supporting our affiliates as REMAX modernizes and maintains its position of No. 1 market share in Canada.”

Conrad’s move to RE/MAX came after he raised the profile of Royal LePage’s commercial real estate business significantly, expanding the company and serving as an industry leader while appearing as a panelist at various events, including Connect’s annual conference in Toronto. He has also made frequent public comments that shed light on Canadian CRE trends operations and practices.

He is now in position to bolster RE/MAX’s large commercial real estate segment while raising more awareness about the firm’s CRE operations.

“What drew me to RE/MAX Canada was the undeniable momentum and vision driving the brand forward,” said Conrad. “From embracing AI to refreshing its identity, there’s a real sense of innovation and energy here. Don Kottick’s leadership has been a huge inspiration – his passion and persistence made it clear this was the right move. I’m excited to build on that momentum and help elevate RE/MAX Canada’s commercial offering to new heights.”

Conrad is a past recipient of the NAIOP Real Estate Excellence Award for Office Lease of the Year in the Greater Toronto Area. He was also recognized as one of the Top 100 Most Influential Voices in Canadian Real Estate by BuzzMedia.
