Crown Realty CEO Miller to Retire, Won’t Be Replaced
Crown Realty Partners CEO Les Miller will retire on June 30, the company announced.
Toronto-based Crown does not plan to replace Miller. Managing partners Emily Hanna, Jamie Christie and Scott Watson will continue to lead the firm, Crown said.
Miller, also a managing partner, has been with Crown for 23 years. He is credited with spearheading and executing what Crown calls a unique approach to value add real estate.
Hanna will now oversee the firm’s acquisitions and dispositions while continuing to lead the company’s investments, capital-formation, environment social governance and human resources.
Christie will continue to lead Crown’s asset management, property accounting and financial reporting business segments. He will work closely with Mark Dimmell, a partner who oversees finance and reporting.
Watson will be responsible for property management and construction, collaborating regularly with Anthony Kingsley, a company partner who directs operations. In addition, Watson will continue lead the leasing team while working alongside Stefan Teague, a partner who focuses on that business segment.
Hanna praised Miller for building and championing its growth after moving his family to Toronto from Saskatchewan.
“Crown’s partnership model has always been a cornerstone of our success,” said Watson.
“With [Hanna], [Christie] and I continuing to lead the firm as managing partners, this transition marks the next chapter in that evolution.”
Crown owns, leases, manages and redevelops commercial real estate across Canada. The company invests through large investment funds that it controls.
