Dor-Val Buys 98K-SF Montreal Industrial Building For $11.25M

Commercial furniture manufacturer Dor-Val has acquired a 98,086-square-foot industrial building in Montreal’s Anjou borough for $11.25 million, adding another production property to a business that changed hands earlier this year.

The building at 9300 Ray-Lawson Blvd. sits on 4.24 acres near Highways 25 and 40. The deal works out to about $115 per square foot, below the property’s most recent $14.7-million asking price.

Terrex represented Dor-Val in the acquisition, while Colliers represented the seller.

Founded in 1971, Dor-Val produces commercial furniture for sectors including seniors housing, health care and hospitality. The company was acquired earlier this year by Montreal-based Bugatti Design and Montserrat International, putting the Anjou purchase against the backdrop of a broader ownership change.

Dor-Val has long operated from 11800 Laurentien Blvd. in Saint-Laurent, while the broader ownership group also has manufacturing operations in Anjou.

It has not yet disclosed whether the Ray-Lawson building will add capacity, replace the Saint-Laurent facility or form part of a wider consolidation of the group’s manufacturing footprint.
