Feds Investing $326M in B.C. infrastructure

The federal government will invest $326 million in infrastructure projects across B.C.

The funding will enable communities to build new essential and recreational infrastructure, such as a new sports field lighting, and safety improvements at Tamanawis Park in Surrey.

“Building a strong Canada starts with building strong communities,” said Housing and Infrastructure Minister Gregor Robertson. “We are investing in new infrastructure projects that support housing and foster connected communities. Our investment in communities throughout British Columbia reinforces our commitment to building bold, building strong, and building together.”

Ottawa is making the investment through the $26.7-billion Canada Community-Building Fund, which is administered in the province by the Union of B.C. Municipalities. B.C. received approximately $326 million for the 2025-26 fiscal year.

Since 2015, Ottawa has invested approximately $291 billion through the fund, including $3.1 billion in B.C.
