Flexport Expands Global Fulfilment Network Into Canada
Flexport has opened a 50,000-SF fulfilment centre near Toronto Pearson International Airport in Mississauga, bringing the warehousing and e-commerce arm of its global logistics network into Canada.
The company moves freight by air, ocean, rail and truck. Its air-freight operation combines cargo space purchased from commercial airlines with dedicated charter flights from Asia, including Flexport-branded aircraft.
The Mississauga centre allows customers to import merchandise in bulk, clear it through customs, store it in Canada and ship individual orders to consumers. It also processes domestic returns and holds Health Canada certifications covering medical products, supplements and consumer goods.
The location is part of Flexport’s first expansion of fulfilment services beyond the U.S., where it operates five centres totalling more than 5M SF near Los Angeles, Dallas, Chicago, Atlanta and Newark. Flexport has also launched services through two partner-operated facilities in Manchester, England, and plans to expand into continental Europe in 2027.
Flexport serves more than 13,000 companies. Publicly identified customers include Georgia-Pacific, Sonos, Bombas and Wyze, although it has not named the businesses using the Canadian centre.
The Mississauga facility began receiving inventory in July, with outbound shipments starting in September.
