Freeman Helps Rohit Expand into New Markets
(Connect has handed out its third-annual Canadian Women in Real Estate Awards. This story profiles Emma Freeman, vice-president of asset management at Rohit Group.)
By Amy Wolff Sorter
Emma Freeman, vice-president of asset management at Rohit Group, is a CPA with formal training in finance. Though at an early stage in her career, she has already demonstrated an in-depth understanding of the financial and operational sides of real estate development. Her ability to translate numbers into strategy enables her to play a key role in deal structures, risk management, and asset performance across a diverse real estate portfolio.
At Rohit, Freeman has been instrumental in helping the company expand into new markets and launch major land development projects. Her work in income-producing properties marks a strategic shift from a sole focus on traditional residential development to cash-flow-generating portfolios from commercial leasing and mixed-use assets.
Freeman is the president-elect of Edmonton CREW, demonstrating her commitment to advancing women in commercial real estate. She recognizes the long-term value of building industry networks, shaping policy and mentoring the next generation of talent.
These are just some of the reasons why Connect Canada CRE honoured Emma Freeman with a 2025 Canadian Women in Real Estate Award. The awards celebrate the achievements and inspirational stories of women who have reached respected leadership positions and taken on mentorship roles.
