Zanchin Automotive Group has opened a fully redesigned Mercedes-Benz showroom and service facility in Newmarket, Ont., following more than a year of construction.

The outlet’s doors opened Thursday and a formal grand opening celebration is scheduled for Oct/ 1.

The company said the revamped Newmarket Mercedes-Benzfacility raises the bar for the luxury retail experience in York Region and includes a more than 50% expansion to 32,100 square feet. New features include a barista bar and customer lounge, nearly doubled parking capacity with more than 200 spaces, an increase in service bays to 18 from 14 and two new delivery salons.

“This is much more than a renovation,” said Brian Fulton, managing partner for Mercedes-Benz Newmarket. “We wanted to create a space that reflects the future of the Mercedes-Benz experience while continuing to serve the community that has supported us for so many years. Every part of the new dealership was designed around the customer, from the showroom and lounge experience to the expanded service capacity and AMG performance offering.”

The dealership has also been designated an AMG Performance Centre, a status reserved for locations with dedicated Mercedes-AMG expertise, presentation standards and customer consultation. The designation provides customers with access to a wider range of AMG models and a more performance-focused experience.

Zanchin said Mercedes-Benz Newmarket is among the first in Canada designed around Mercedes-Benz’s MAR20X global retail concept.

Mercedes-Benz Newmarket has served Newmarket, Aurora, Ont., and the broader York Region area since 2001. Zanchin operates 36 Ontario dealerships.
