Gairloch Breaks Ground on Boutique Mid-Rise Apartment Project in Toronto

Gairloch has broken ground on Craft Residences, an eight-storey, 87-unit boutique condominium-apartment project in Toronto’s Junction neighbourhood.

Tenblock is partnering on the project. The construction launch comes amid a challenging real estate market, where many developments remain stalled.

“Craft is our latest development in the Junction,” said Bill Gairdner, president of Gairloch. “Boutique buildings like this are becoming less and less common, especially in desirable neighbourhoods like The Junction. We are thrilled to be breaking ground.”

Designed by BDP Quadrangle with interiors by Mason Studio, Craft Residences blends contemporary design with a handcrafted brick façade, reflecting the area’s character while meeting the growing demand for mid-rise housing in Toronto, said Gairloch.

Toronto-based Gairloch is known for its focus on design-led mid-rise projectsh. The company previously completed Junction Point and 383 Sorauren in Toronto.

Gairloch is also preparing for occupancy at Leaside Common, a 200-unit development at Bayview and Eglinton.

Despite market uncertainties, Gairloch continues to push forward with multi-family projects, reinforcing the firm’s confidence in Toronto’s long-term housing growth.

Gairloch a multi-disciplinary real estate organization that specializes in the acquisition, development, and construction of urban infill projects in prime neighbourhoods. Tenblock is a Toronto-based high-density apartment developer.
