Intelcom to Expand Its Head Office Space by 125%

Intelcom is expanding its corporate headquarters in Montreal by 125% as it relocates to a significantly larger office space to accommodate rapid workforce growth, La Presse reported.

According to the report, the parcel-delivery company has signed a lease for approximately 90,000 square feet at Allied Properties’ La Cité complex at 111 Robert Bourassa Boulevard, more than doubling its current 40,000-sf head office in the Griffintown neighbourhood.

“They are going to revive La Cité, in fact,” Assmae Loudyi, senior vice-president for Montreal at Allied, told La Presse.

Intelcom’s new space spans three floors of the nine-storey building, with a phased move expected to be completed in the last quarter of 2026, the report states.

“We’re short on space,” Dominic Simard, an Intelcom spokesman told La Presse. “Currently, 600 employees are based at the service centre in Montreal, and not everyone has enough space to work.”

The expansion follows a period of rapid growth for the company, which has increased its workforce by 30% over the past year and recently opened two major distribution centres in the Montreal suburbs of Laval, Que., and Candiac, Que., totalling nearly 600,000 sf. Intelcom delivers Amazon online purchases through the distribution facilities.

The company’s office and warehousing moves coincide with the effects of Canada’s rapidly accelerating return-to-office movement and Amazon’s decision in January 2025 to shut down its seven Quebec logistics facilities and return to deploying third-party delivery services across the province. Intelcom was among companies that voiced plans to capitalize on the global logistics giant’s move, which labour groups contended was a union-busting effort.

Intelcom’s new office headquarters will feature modern amenities, including bright workspaces, a fitness centre, and ground-floor retail, according to La Presse. Renovations are already underway.

“It’s a dynamic, modern place that’s well-aligned with our needs,” Simard told La Presse.

The move comes as Intelcom continues to benefit from rising demand for delivery and sorting services, reporting sustained long-term growth.
