InterRent, Crestpoint Propose Two MF Rental Towers in Kits

InterRent REIT and Crestpoint Real Estate Investments are proposing to develop two multi-family rental towers as part of a major redevelopment project in Vancouver’s Kitsilano area.

The companies have filed a development application with the city.

The proposed development site is situated at 2244-2280 West 6th Avenue. The site, which spans nearly an entire city block near Yew Street, is currently home to two three-storey apartment buildings dating back to 1969 and 1970, containing 89 rental units.

The proposed project would replace the existing buildings with the two multi-family featuring 333 market rental homes and 83 below-market units. According to the development application, 40% of the units would be family-sized, including 128 two-bedroom and 40 three-bedroom suites.

Residents would have access to a range of shared indoor and outdoor amenities, including rooftop spaces, a dog garden, a multi-sport court, an exercise deck, a children’s playground, and a dining area. Indoor features would include a fitness gym, sauna, spa lounge, private work pods, a games lounge, and a pet-wash station.
