Jadco Building Zero-Carbon Multi-Family Project in Saint-Laurent
Jadco has commenced construction on a two-building, zero-carbon multi-family residential project in the Montreal suburb of Saint-Laurent, Que.
Known as Équinoxe Bois-Franc, the $225-million project reflects Jadco’s environment and social governance framework, said the company. In addition to seeking the Zero Carbon Building Performance Standard, the project is aiming for LEED and BOMA certifications.
The 525-unit project will be built in two phases, with the first slated for completion in spring 2026. The buildings’ key features will include a dual-energy mechanical system powered by renewable natural gas, 340 bicycle storage spaces, and urban gardens. Both buildings will contain green roofs designed to improve heat control.
