Kamik Signs Long-Term Lease At 141K-SF Montreal Industrial Property

Canadian boot manufacturer Kamik has signed a long-term lease at a newly developed 141,000-SF industrial property at 7300 Chemin de la Côte-de-Liesse in Montreal’s Saint-Laurent district.

Scalia Properties developed the building in partnership with Sina along the Autoroute 520 industrial corridor, minutes from Montreal-Trudeau International Airport and near Highways 13, 15 and 40. Avison Young had been marketing the property for lease.

The building has a 36.5-foot clear height, 15 truck-level loading doors, a 60-foot marshalling yard with parking for 15 trailers and 2,000-amp, 600-volt electrical service. The warehouse is climate controlled, while an unusual 47-space underground parking component differentiates it from more conventional industrial facilities.

Kamik, founded in Quebec in 1898, is one of Canada’s longest-running footwear manufacturers. The company produces winter, rain and work boots and has built its business around footwear designed for cold and wet conditions.

The Côte-de-Liesse property holds Zero Carbon Building and LEED Silver certifications and was developed as a long-term industrial asset in one of Montreal’s most established manufacturing and aerospace clusters. Nearby occupiers include Bombardier, CAE, Rolls-Royce and Thales.
