Montreal Mini-Storage Preparing to Open New Facility

Montreal Mini-Storage is getting set to open a new self-storage facility in the city’s Ahuntsic-Cartierville district.

The new new 82,000-square-foot facility is scheduled to hold a grand opening on June 1. Located at 500 Sauvé Street West, it will be Montreal Mini-Storage’s 24th location.

The facility is intended to serve women in the community and was designed by an all-female team that included Andrea Lafrechoux (director of real estate, Margaux Chetrit (business development director), Tonia Assaf (project manager), Serena Miscione, (leasing specialist) and Alida Wu (senior financial analyst.)

“With this project, we’ve reimagined self-storage as an extension of the home—a welcoming, secure, practical space where women can store their family’s keepsakes without compromising their living space,” said Chetrit.

The building will comprise 800 storage units on two floors and “numerous energy-saving measures, along with dedicated parking spaces for local car-sharing service Communauto.

“This adaptive-reuse project resulted in a carbon footprint that is estimated to be 50% lower than that of a conventional development,” said the company.

The new site will include well-lit areas, enhanced 24/7 security measures, and amenities tailored to meet the needs of its diverse clientele.

Montreal Mini-Storage locations feature public artworks. The company plans to commission Amelia Haddouchi, an internationally acclaimed local female artist to create a mural for the Sauvé facility.

Montreal Mini-Storage has been steadily growing, with locations across the city, providing storage solutions to individuals and businesses. The company anticipates strong demand for the new female-oriented facility.
