NAI Advent’s Russell Captures ApartmentBuildings.com Dealmaker Award

Harvey Russell of Calgary-based NAI Advent, is among the first winners of the Apartment Buildings.com 100 Awards. He was honoured in the Dealmakers of the Year category. Read about how he stands out among his peers in the Canadian multi-family sector.

By Amy Wolff Sorter

As senior vice-president and principal with NAI Advent, Harvey Russell has over 30 years of experience in the multi-family industry. During his first decade, he was appointed vice-president of CBRE Multi-Residential Group and marketed and sold 5,000 apartment units. In 2002, Russell was appointed vice-president and shareholder of a large real estate group with a focus on condominium development in Southern Ontario. He has worked in Calgary for the past decade, facilitating 110 land transactions and becoming the dominant multi-residential land broker in the city.

During his career, Russell has brokered over $1.5 billion in real estate transactions in multi-family, land and mixed-use real estate. With his affiliation with SVN Rock Advisors and Goodman Commercial, Russell’s goal is to expand his services across Canada, offering a one-stop experience for investors and developers in the apartment space. The services will include research and development, feasibility studies, design concepts, financial analysis and marketing.

These are some of the reasons why Harvey Russell was selected to receive an ApartmentBuildings.com 100 first-annual Dealmaker of the Year Award, which recognizes those who demonstrate creativity, skill and success in the multi-family sector.
