Pinnacle Tops Off 106-Storey SkyTower in Downtown Toronto

Construction has reached the top floor of the 106-storey Pinnacle SkyTower in downtown Toronto, making it the tallest building in Canada and the first residential tower in North America to reach that height.

The tower surpasses the Canada Place building in Toronto as the tallest building in the country.

Developed by Pinnacle International as part of the Pinnacle One Yonge master-planned community, the tower is scheduled for completion in 2026 and will rise to 351.85 metres (1,154 feet). The project will include 958 multi-residential units, the new Le Méridien Toronto Pinnacle Hotel and approximately 80,000 sq. ft. of amenities.

The development is part of the redevelopment of the former Toronto Star headquarters property.

“Now that we’ve reached the 106 storey mark, you can really feel the momentum accelerating,” said Anson Kwok, vice-president of sales and marketing at Vancouver-based Pinnacle International. “Pinnacle SkyTower offers the exclusive opportunity to live in a fully customized home in the tallest building in Canada, creating a new standard for luxury living in Toronto.”

Designed by Hariri Pontarini Architects, the tower features a 12-sided tapered form with an aerodynamic profile inspired by its waterfront setting. Balconies extend to the 88th floor and floor-to-ceiling windows are designed to provide views of Lake Ontario and the Toronto skyline.

SkyTower is a central component of the broader 4.4-million-square-foot Pinnacle One Yonge mixed-use development, which will bring residential, hotel, retail and public spaces to Toronto’s downtown waterfront. A topping-off ceremony with project partners and officials is expected later this year.
