Public Consultation Underway on New Bécancour Port Terminal Wharf

Public consultation is underway on a new wharf planned as part of the proposed Bécancour port terminal expansion project in Bécancour, Que.

A comment period will be held online until January 12, says the Impact Assessment Agency of Canada. Société du parc industriel et portuaire de Bécancour has proposed to expand the existing marine terminal by constructing a new wharf known as B6.

IAAC is inviting Indigenous peoples and the general public to review the summary of the Initial Project Description and provide comments on the proposed project.

Comments can be submitted online by visiting the project home page on the Canadian Impact Assessment Registry (reference number 90011). The summary of the Initial Project Description can also be accessed via the registry.

Comments can also be submitted to IAAC via the project’s email address: [email protected].
