Sephora Opening First Canadian Small Store in Kitsilano

Sephora Canada is preparing to open its first small-format store in Vancouver’s Kitsilano neighbourhood, marking a new retail strategy aimed at bringing the beauty-products retailer closer to consumers through smaller, community-focused locations.

The new store, located at 2235 W. Fourth Ave., represents Sephora Canada’s 147th location nationwide and reflects the retailer’s evolving approach to neighbourhood retail while maintaining its emphasis on product discovery and in-person customer experiences, according to the company.

“We know that beauty is an inherently personal and experiential category, where customers want to touch, test, discover, and connect with experts before they buy,” said Thomas Haupt, Sephora Canada’s general manager. “Our new small store format lets us bring the best of Sephora into communities like Kitsilano in a way that feels curated, convenient, and reflective of the neighbourhood.

“It’s about meeting clients where they already live and spend their time, making Sephora part of their everyday.”

Spanning just over 2,000 square feet, the Kitsilano location will offer a curated assortment of beauty-product brands, including Glow Recipe, Haus Labs, Kayali, Kérastase, Makeup by Mario, Merit Beauty, Rare Beauty, Rhode and Sol de Janeiro, along with exclusive Only at Sephora collections.

The store will officially opens to the public on Friday.

Sephora is a global beauty-product retailer operating more than 3,200 stores across 35 markets, offering products from nearly 500 brands alongside its private-label Sephora Collection.
