Shenoor Jadavji is the founder, president and CEO of Lotus Capital Corp., a Vancouver-based real estate investment, asset, and development management firm known for its national reach and strong institutional partnerships.
Jadavji is an exemplary Canadian commercial real estate leader. Her career spans over 30 years and is defined by her innovative approach to transactions, commitment to diversity and inclusion, dedication to collaborative partnerships, and passion for mentorship.
Jadavji began her career as a commercial real estate broker in the late 1980s, quickly establishing a reputation for sharp deal-making. In 1995, she launched Lotus Pacific Investments, which evolved into Lotus Capital, a leading firm built on her vision of leveraging private equity and institutional partnerships alongside her own capital to generate exceptional returns. Under Jadavji’s leadership, Lotus has built a diverse national portfolio valued at about $3 billion across multiple real estate asset classes.
Her impact is especially significant in the multifamily residential market in Greater Vancouver, where she has championed housing affordability through innovative renovation programs. These efforts have revitalized properties, ensuring stability in one of the world’s most challenging markets. Lotus currently manages more than 5,800 residential units across Western Canada, contributing to the availability of safe, attainable housing. The Stella project—an integrated car dealership and residential condo tower—exemplifies her forward-thinking solutions under complex market conditions.
One of Jadavji’s signature initiatives is Generations, a multigenerational housing community in Calgary that combines affordable housing with essential services like early childhood development and healthcare, showcasing her commitment to enhancing human dignity and community well-being.
Beyond residential properties, Jadavji has directed the acquisition and improvement of approximately 5 million square feet of industrial real estate across Canada over the past 15 years. Her focus on supporting entrepreneurs and small businesses highlights her dedication to economic and community development.
A steadfast advocate for diversity and inclusion in the traditionally male-dominated real estate industry, Jadavji champions the philosophy that diverse perspectives create better results and more respectful workplaces. She actively promotes equity and inclusion through cultural training, mentorship programs, and public engagement, consistently working to build an inclusive industry.
Jadavji’s expertise in cultivating influential partnerships is evident in her role as the first joint-venture partner for firms like KingSett Capital, Fiera Capital, and Forgestone Capital, as well as in her collaborations with Nicola Wealth Real Estate, LaSalle Investment Management, and major lenders such as TD, RBC, CMLS, and National Bank. Her approach to building relationships through direct, face-to-face interactions has strengthened both her business and personal networks.
Deeply committed to mentorship, Jadavji is dedicated to empowering the next generation of leaders through initiatives like the CREW Catalyst Leadership Program, which supports rising female leaders in commercial real estate. In 2022, she received the CREW Vancouver Catalyst Award. The honour is presented annually to a senior-level executive and champion who has consistently demonstrated a commitment to advancing women in commercial real estate while serving as a catalyst for change in a company and throughout the industry.
Jadavji’s dedication to mentorship reflects her belief in continuous industry evolution and the importance of nurturing new talent. She speaks regularly at industry events hosted by CREW, NAIOP and other organizations, seeking to ensure that CRE professionals and the general public are better informed about the industry.
Jadavji’s remarkable career, visionary leadership, and steadfast commitment to relationships, diversity, and mentorship demonstrate that her 2024 Canadian Women in Real Estate Award is well-deserved.
