Surrey to Get New Costco Store
Surrey is slated to get a new Costco big-box store and gas station, according to multiple published reports.
The proposed project is located in the Grandview area of south Surrey area at 1891 and 1947 164 Street near the Highway 99 and 16th Avenue interchange, and is going through the early stages of the city’s development application process.
According to one report, which cited a city spokesperson, the proposed warehouse store floor area would be 165,000 square feet, exceeding the respective space sizes of Costco outlets in Burnaby, Vancouver, and Richmond.
Costco has declined to comment on the proposed project.
