Lululemon Opens New Two-Storey Store in Montreal

Lululemon has opened a new two-storey store in downtown Montreal, expanding the company’s presence in the city.

The new outlet includes elements of the retailer’s company’s latest global retail design concept, which fully debuted in Canada and Quebec with the opening of Lululemon’s store in the Montreal suburb of St. Bruno, Que., in early May.

The new multi-level, 11,600-square-foot store is located at 1035 Sainte-Catherine St. W. and expands the retailer’s footprint in the Montreal region as part of its broader move toward larger, experience-led retail formats across North America.

“This store is a reflection of the community that’s brought it to life, and designed to celebrate the energy of the city and create more opportunities to connect through events and experiences,” said Gabrielle Cardinal, Lululemon regional manager for Quebec.

Situated along one of Montreal’s best-known retail corridors, the store anchors the retail podium of the Marine Building, a mixed-use property that has occupied the corner since 1989.

The store features updated design elements inspired by Vancouver-based Lululemon’s Pacific Northwest roots, along with programming aimed at enhancing the in-store guest experience through events and community engagement. The opening also reflects the company’s continued investment in the Montreal and Quebec markets, according to Lululemon.
