Good Earth Opens New Coffeehouse at U of A Hospital
Good Earth Coffeehouse has opened a new location at the University of Alberta Hospital in Edmonton.
The coffeehouse, located in the Clinical Sciences Building, is intended to serve hospital staff, patients, and visitors with ethically sourced coffee and fresh food in a welcoming environment. Operated in partnership with Sodexo, the location offers convenient access and extended hours to support the healthcare community, said Good Earth.
“Opening in a hospital environment is especially meaningful to us because it allows us to support the people who spend their days caring for others,” said Gerry Docherty, president and COO of Calgary-based Good Earth Coffeehouse.
The new coffeehouse operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Good Earth serves Fairtrade Certified coffee along with breakfast items, lunch options, baked goods, and snacks prepared daily.
Founded in Calgary in 1991, the company operates more than 50 locations across Canada and focuses on serving specialty coffee and fresh food while emphasizing social and environmental responsibility.
