Old Navy Leases Former Toys R Us Store Space in Toronto

Old Navy will move into a former Toys R Us store space at Dufferin Mall in Toronto later this year.

“The new store will be located next to Telus,” said the mall’s management in an Instagram post. “More details to come closer to the opening of the new store in November.”

The post did not specifically state that Old Navy would move into the former Toys R U store location. But the Toys R Us store was situated next to the Telus Mobility location.

Dufferin’s Toys R Us location closed in early 2026. The debt-laden retailer has been shuttering stores across Canada in recent months as it grapples with its financial difficulties, prompting mall owners and landlords to seek new tenants.
