Aecon Raises $172.5M Through Bought-Deal Equity Offering

Aecon Group has raised approximately $172 million after closing on an upsized bought-deal equity offering.

The closing came after Aecon recently filed a final prospectus for the previously announced offering. The company generated approximately $150 million through an initial issuance of 3,822,000 common shares at a price of $39.25 per share through a syndicate of underwriters led by CIBC Capital Markets and TD Securities.

The underwriters also fully executed an over-allotment option to purchase up to an additional 573,300 shares on the same terms, enabling Aecon to raise an additional $22.5 million.

The net proceeds will be used to repay amounts drawn on the company’s revolving credit facility, with any remaining funds allocated to general corporate purposes.

The offering was made across all Canadian provinces under the final short-form prospectus dated March 24, 2026, which is available through SEDAR+.

Toronto-based Aecon is a construction and infrastructure development company providing services across civil, transportation, nuclear, utilities and industrial sectors, along with project development and concessions operations, across North America.
