Altree’s DeBrincat Mintzas Ensures Employee Well-Being

(Connect has handed out its third-annual Canadian Women in Real Estate Awards. This story profiles Jordan DeBrincat Mintzas of Altree Developments.)

By Amy Wolff Sorter

Jordan DeBrincat Mintzas is the vice-president of Altree Developments, a multi-billion-dollar, multinational development company that develops high-rise rental buildings, condominiums, and resorts in the Caribbean. She oversees all the staff, mentors junior members and ensures employee well-being.

Mintzas joined Altree as an executive assistant more than a decade ago and rose to the company’s number two through that period. She was hired when the company operated under the Marlin Spring banner. The firm left Marlin and operated under the Altree brand, with a staff of four handling one project. These days, the company handles 19 projects in three different countries.

Mintzas faced difficult challenges with little support during one of the industry’s most challenging times, characterized by a high-interest-rate environment and no sales. During this period, she worked to protect each buyer, project and consultant.

She is involved in multiple charitable associations with a focus on children’s illnesses and hunger, especially in communities where Altree operates.

These are just some of the reasons why Connect Canada CRE honoured Jordan DeBrincat Mintzas with a 2025 Canadian Women in Real Estate Award. The awards celebrate the achievements and inspirational stories of women who have reached respected leadership positions and taken on mentorship roles.
