Amazon Buys Edmonton Development Land for Fulfillment Centre

Amazon Canada has acquired 50 acres of development land in northwest Edmonton for $39.7 million and plans to build a new fulfillment centre, according to a published report.

The report said Amazon Canada Fulfillment Services acquired the site at 16404 145 Ave. N.W. near the intersection of 170 Street N.W. and Anthony Henday Drive N.W., in the fourth quarter of 2025. The purchase price equates to just over $793,000 per acre.

Amazon Canada spokeswoman Kristin Gable confirmed the acquisition to the publication. The site is in the second phase of Apex Business Park, a development led by Panattoni Development and Manulife Investment Management.

Amazon plans to release more details on its plans in the coming months.

Panattoni and Manulife began construction of Apex Business Park in 2019.
