Ann Swinamer is a real estate broker at RE/MAX Nova, based in Dartmouth, N.S.

Possessing extensive industry expertise, she offers a full suite of commercial, residential, and investment real estate services throughout Nova Scotia. Swinamer’s approach emphasizes client satisfaction, leveraging transparency, integrity, and her extensive network of professionals to deliver a seamless real estate experience. Swinamer is also a dedicated board member for both CREW Nova Scotia and the Nova Scotia chapter of the Real Estate Institute of Canada (REIC.)

Swinamer is in the second of two stints with RE/MAX, sandwiched around a 17-year tenure as leasing manager with NorthWest Healthcare Properties REIT in Halifax. At Northwest, her duties included managing relationships with tenants, negotiating lease renewals, and collaborating with senior management to develop strategic leasing and marketing plans. She oversaw property renovations and new constructions, ensuring client needs were met at every phase.

Before joining NorthWest, she spent nearly five years as a sales associate at RE/MAX, working on both commercial leasing and residential sales.

Earlier in her career, Swinamer managed a portfolio of commercial properties for Bird Holdings and gained experience as a leasing associate at Plazacorp Retail Properties, where she was involved in tenant acquisition and lease administration. Swinamer’s career foundation also includes administrative roles, such as executive assistant at NovaWest Properties, giving her a broad understanding of the operational aspects of real estate. Her client-centred approach and strong relationships continue to define her reputation within the real estate community.

These are just some of the reasons why she has received a Canadian Women in Real Estate Award.
