Apple Moves into Larger Location at Square One

Apple has shifted to a new, larger space at Square One Shopping Centre in Mississauga, Ont.

The Cupertino, Calif.-based company has not shed any details on the size of the relocated store. It is situated on Level 1 of the mall, above the food court.

Square One is jointly owned by the Alberta Investment Management Company and Oxford Properties.

Apple has said little about the store, other than to acknowledge its opening on the company website. According to multiple reports, the store is Apple’s first in Canada with a pick-up station for online orders.

The store ranks among the largest of Apple’s 28 outlets in Canada, but is still smaller than the flagship 14,000-square-foot location at Cadillac Fairview’s Pacific Centre mall in downtown Vancouver, the reports say.

Apple previously operated a store on a lower floor in Square One, but that location closed recently.

Square One is the largest mall in Ontario and spans 2.2 million square feet, according to Epic Investment Services. Epic advises Oxford on Square One’s management.
