Artis REIT Sells 12 Properties for $292.4M

Artis REIT sold 12 assets in Canada and the U.S. for $292.4 million altogether during the second quarter.

The Winnipeg-based REIT disposed of three office properties, six retail properties and a parcel of development land located in Canada, and two office properties situated in the U.S. Artis disclosed the deals in the REIT’s second-quarter report.

The divestments were part of an ongoing strategic review that began in 2023. Artis said it has completed, or entered into, $1.1 billion in divestment agreements as part of the review, which is designed to reduce the REIT’s large debt and increase unit value.

The divestments include $651.7 million of industrial assets, $219.3 million of retail properties and $180 million of office spaces.
