Atlantic Packaging has opened a new manufacturing facility in Hamilton.

The plant is designed to meet growing customer demand for sustainable, high-quality packaging solutions. The expansion enhances Atlantic Packaging’s capacity to support customer growth and reflects the company’s commitment to creating new job opportunities in the local community, said Atlantic Packaging.

“We are excited to start our new site in Hamilton and to be part of the city’s growth,” said Sean Weir, the company’s president. “This facility will help us better serve our customers, and we look forward to working here for years to come.”

He praised he City of Hamilton for supporting the project throughout the building process, emphasizing the importance of local government partnerships in completing a project of this scale.

Based in Scarborough, Ont., Atlantic Packaging provides sustainable packaging solutions across North America. Atlantic Packaging expects the plant to strengthen the company’s presence in Ontario while supporting the region’s food and beverage sector with locally produced packaging solutions.

The new plant also underscores Atlantic Packaging’s focus on sustainability, aligning with the city’s commitment to fostering economic growth while acting as environmental stewards, said the company.
