Automated Logic Establishes First B.C. Field Office Through Acquisition

Automated Logic has established its first company-owned controls field office in B.C. through the acquisition of Coquitlam-based Control Solutions, a provider of integrated building-automation systems.

The move marks a significant expansion of Automated Logic’s building-automation footprint in Western Canada, said the company, which is based in the Atlanta area.

“This acquisition represents a strategic step in strengthening Automated Logic’s presence in Canada and expanding our ability to deliver integrated, intelligent building solutions in high-growth sectors across British Columbia,” said Andy Bierer, managing director of the firm’s Canadian field-office business segment.

Control Solutions designs, installs and services building-automation systems for complex facilities in sectors such as commercial real estate, education, data centres, residential, and large mixed-use developments. The company’s 100-plus employees provide retrofit upgrades, advanced control solutions and multi-year service contracts aimed at optimizing energy performance and operational resilience.

Control Solutions’ leadership and employees will remain in place and continue to serve customers from their Coquitlam office and project sites across the province. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
