Avison Young has hired a new tax advisory team to cover the Ontario commercial real estate marketplace.

Karen Marangone, Erin Johnston, Chantelle MacMillan and Raymond Williams become principals of the full-service commercial real estate company. Marangone, MacMillan and Williams will based in Toronto, while Johnston will work in Ottawa.

The veteran team will be responsible for expanding Avison Young’s property-tax practice in Ontario and amplifying the firm’s related services across Canada while working closely with private and public clients across various sectors, the company said in a news release.

Marangone brings three decades of property tax and assessment experience to Avison and is known for managing national portfolios. Johnston has more than two decades of similar experience, and Williams has spent a decade in the property tax field.

MacMillan is a legal professional with a background in property-tax advocation, litigation and paralegal services.

Marangone, Johnston, MacMillan and William join Avison Young from Altus Group.
