Baker Active with CREW, Other Industry Groups

(Connect has handed out its third-annual Canadian Women in Real Estate Awards. This story profiles Avison Young Principal Ali Baker.)

Ali Baker is a principal and retail real estate sales representative at Avison Young in Toronto. She specializes in leasing and sales for tenants and landlords and is involved in transactions across North America from start to finish.

Baker’s efforts extend to agency leasing for urban mixed-use developments and small urban retail storefronts in the fitness, entertainment, hospitality, and fashion sectors. Her client list has included Nutbar, Wild Fork and Hello Nori.

For several years, Baker has been among Avison Young’s list of top producers. Outside of the company, she is a member of CREW Toronto, the ICSC, NAIOP and ULI.

Baker is a passionate mental health advocate and volunteer at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health in Toronto. She has led multiple community and charity events at Avison Young to raise awareness for mental health. Baker also helps organize and support blood donation events within the commercial real estate community.

These are just some of the reasons why Connect Canada CRE honoured Ali Baker with a 2025 Canadian Women in Real Estate Award. The awards celebrate the achievements and inspirational stories of women who have reached respected leadership positions and taken on mentorship roles.
