Beechwood Secures Laundry Rooms Ontario Mandate
The Laundry Rooms extended-stay hotel chain is looking to expand in Ontario.
Jennifer Gellatly, a vice-president with Beechwood Real Estate Advisors in Toronto, announced on LinkedIn that her firm has received the chain’s tenant mandate for for the province.
“We are actively looking for lease opportunities across the province,” she wrote.
The chain is seeking leased space of at least 40,000 square feet in secondary markets. The Laundry Rooms expansion plan includes taking up condo, retail, office and apartment building spaces, or participating in new developments.
The hotels cater to business travellers. Guests stay 35 days on average.
The chain currently has four Ontario locations, in Waterloo, Hamilton, Cambridge and Kitchener. Rooms include kitchen and laundry facilities.
Co-founder Matthew Opferkuch, a veteran hotelier, serves as the company’s CEO.
