Beedie Relocates Headquarters to Station Square
Prominent commercial real estate developer Beedie has moved its head office to Station Square in Burnaby’s Metrotown area.
Station Square is a major mixed-use development located next to Metropolis at Metrotown mall and directly across Central Boulevard from the Metrotown SkyTrain stop.
The new office is situated on the third floor of 6051 Silver Drive, one of the towers developed by Beedie in partnership with local investor and developer Anthem Properties. Station Square is encompassed by Silver, Kingsway and Central Boulevard.
According to the Burnaby Now and other published reports, Beedie has sold its former headquarters, a two-storey office-industrial building in Burnaby’s Still Creek area, to BC Housing for $16.2 million. BC Housing has announced plans to convert the building into a permanent shelter open 24/7.
Beedie has been headquartered in various Burnaby locations since the company’s founding in 1954.
“As a proud part of bringing Station Square to life, we’re excited to continue to be a part of this rapidly growing community, returning to our Kingsway roots where our story began, previously spending over 50 years growing Beedie from this neighbourhood,” said Beedie in a LinkedIn post.
Beedie now operates across B.C., Alberta and Ontario and in parts of the U.S.
The family-owned company is headed by award-winning industry leader Ryan Beedie, the son of founder Keith Beedie.
