Bélanger Reorganizes, Reinforces Acquisition Team

Société immobilière Bélanger has reorganized its operations and strengthened its acquisition team as the company continues to expand.

The move follows Bélanger’s acquisition of 39 apartment assets in Quebec City and the surrounding region for $143 million from Logisco. The effort includes key leadership appointments and new hires across its acquisitions, management, and maintenance divisions.

Sébastien Dion has been named vice-president of development and acquisitions. With over a decade of real estate experience, Dion previously spent eight years with a major real estate owner before joining Bélanger in 2021 as director of acquisitions. He will now lead acquisitions, market analysis, and due diligence while overseeing the integration of new assets and energy-efficient portfolio management.

Supporting Dion are Evguenia Kapchii and Georges Tardif, who will serve as regional directors of acquisitions for Montreal and Quebec City, respectively. Kapchii has more than 10 years of experience in large-scale multi-residential transactions. She previously founded a brokerage firm and worked as an acquisitions manager at InterRent REIT before joining Bélanger in 2020, where she has since managed approximately $300 million in transactions.

Tardif, who has been with Bélanger for five years, specializing in acquisitions and market analysis.

François Lévesque joins Bélanger as a strategic advisor on risk and financing. A 35-year veteran of the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC), Lévesque played a key role in developing the federal agency’s APH Select program designed to preserve Canada’s rental-housing stock. His expertise in risk management and real estate financing includes 18 years in social and affordable housing.

Founded in 2008, Bélanger manages thousands of rental units in the Greater Quebec City area. The company focuses on acquiring, managing, and developing multi-residential properties with a long-term vision emphasizing operational excellence and sustainability.
