Bergeron Takes Helm of Concert Properties
Christine Bergeron has become the new president and CEO of major Canadian developer Concert Properties.
Vancouver-based Concert is the real estate investment, development and asset-management arm of the Toronto-based Ontario Municipal Employees Retirement System. Concert holds $9 billion in assets, including industrial, office and multi-residential properties, on behalf of pension funds belonging to 200,000 Canadians.
Bergeron was appointed as Concert’s president and CEO in February but did not start in her new role until this month. She also chairs InBC Investment, an independent $500-million investment fund created by the B.C. government that is designed to help companies grow.

She joins Concert after 12 years in leadership roles with Canada’s largest community credit union, Vancouver-based Vancity, most recently as president and CEO.
Concert co-founder David Podmore, a legendary Canadian commercial real estate developer, relinquished the president and CEO roles but will continue to chair the company’s board.
