BGO Appoints Caco Head of Canadian Development

BentallGreenOak has promoted Brad Caco to head of Canadian development.

Caco will be responsible for delivering on BGO’s $8-billion development pipeline across all assets classes in Canada. Miami-based BGO ranks among the world’s largest commercial real estate investment, property management and finance companies.

BGO’s Canadian headquarters are located in Toronto. The Canadian development team is responsible for all of BGO’s development, design and construction activities in Canada and directly supports acquisitions and developments initiated by the firm’s real estate investment management arm.

Caco has led BGO’s Eastern Canadian development activities for the past four and a half years, playing a first-hand role in growing the development projects pipeline to about $4 billion.

He joined Bentall Kennedy, a Canadian predecessor of BGO, in 2016 after holding vice-president and director positions with Toronto-based Trinity Development Group.

BGO has launched a Canadian value-add strategy. The October acquisition of a 236,000-square-foot Montreal industrial portfolio marked BGO’s first investment under the strategy.
