BGO to Buy Vancouver Oceanic Plaza Office Building: Report
BGO has agreed to purchase the Oceanic Plaza office tower in downtown Vancouver for an unconfirmed price, according to a published report.
The building is located at 1066 West Hastings Street, near the Vancouver Convention and Exhibition Centre. Built in 1976 and renovated in 2005, the tower stands 26 storeys and comprises $351,356 square feet.
The potential price has ranged between $239 million and $259 million, the report states. The reported sellers are Oxford Properties and the Canadian Pension Plan Investment Board, who each own a 50% stake.
The reported deal comes after Oxford bought out CPPIB’s 50% stakes in four other downtown Vancouver office towers — the Marine Building, MNP Tower, the Guinness Tower and the Stack, Canada’s first net-zero office property — along with three others in Calgary’s core for $730 million in 2025.
