Vancouver's Blenz Coffee plans to expand to the Greater Toronto Area under a franchising agreement.

Blenz Coffee Expanding to GTA

Vancouver’s Blenz Coffee chain plans to expand to the Greater Toronto Area through a franchising agreement.

Blenz announced that it has partnered with development group Franchise 360 and plans to open shops across the GTA. Since launching in 1992, Blenz has operated in B.C. with most shops located in Vancouver.

“It’s a privilege to be a part of our guests’ daily rituals, and with Franchise 360, we’re excited to extend our reach and share our love for coffee and community throughout Toronto,” said Matt Smith, a Blenz vice-president.

The first Blenz shop in the GTA is expected to open this summer. Several more GTA locations are slated to open by year-end 2024 and in 2025.

“Each store will be designed to reflect Blenz’s signature homely ambiance, with comfortable lounge seating and stylish interiors that invite people to relax and indulge in their favourite beverages,” said the company in a news release.

Blenz is also looking to expand in various regions throughout Canada under other franchise agreements.
