Body Shop Canada Opens New Store in Pacific Centre

The Body Shop Canada has opened a new flagship store in downtown Vancouver at Pacific Centre.

The opening continues the retailer’s renaissance after it emerged from creditor protection in 2024 through its sale to Seruya Private Equity.

“Our Vancouver flagship represents an exciting moment for The Body Shop Canada,” said Michael Roden, president of The Body Shop Canada in a news release distributed to multiple media outlets.

“The West Coast has always embraced our values, and this new store allows us to deliver a more engaging, modern, and meaningful experience. We’re proud to continue building a brand that feels both globally inspired and distinctly Canadian.”

The opening gives The Body Shop 14 stores in B.C., and follows store launches at Sherway Gardens in Toronto and Lime Ridge in Hamilton. Pacific Centre and Sherway Gardens are owned by Cadillac Fairview.

Primaris REIT purchased Lime Ridge from Cadillac Fairview for $416 million in summer 2025.

The retail chain, known for its distinctive creams, lotions, and perfumes, spent nine months in creditor protection. Markham, Ont.-based Serruya bought The Body Shop Canada from the purchaser of its former financially troubled U.K. parent which was also under creditor protection before a final sale occurred.
