Nonni Development Planning Calgary Mixed-Use Tower

Nonni Development is planning to construct a mixed-use tower in downtown Calgary.

The tower will likely contain residential rental units and, possibly, a hotel, Gino Nonni, the company’s founder, president and CEO, said Wednesday during a panel discussion at the Vancouver Real Estate Forum.

Nonni offered few other details on the project. He made the comments as panelists were asked whether they are looking at developing projects outside of Vancouver.

In Alberta, the Vancouver-based company is focusing on the industrial sector.

“We’ve been buyers of industrial in Alberta because we think the fundamentals are good and the yields are 150 basis points higher than Vancouver,” said Nonni. “So, to us, it’s not really all that much of a stretch.”
