The partnership with Nav Canada, aims to address growing global demand for air traffic controllers.
“This partnership with CAE exemplifies our dedication to operational excellence, ensuring safe and efficient air navigation while preparing for the future of aviation through innovative training and collaboration, said President and CEO Mark Cooper.
The first students began training in October 2024, with CAE set to train approximately 500 air-traffic professionals by 2028. The program uses Nav Canada’s, with CAE providing initial training while Nav Canada oversees specialized and on-the-job training.
CAE is based in Montreal and has many locations in Canada and several other countries. The firm manufactures, owns and operates flight simulators and other types of simulators deployed by a number of other industries, including the medical and tech sectors.
CAE plans to leverage its global footprint of about 70 training facilities across five continents to expand ATS training where needed.
