Calgary Co-op Set to Open Redeveloped North Hill Location

Calgary Co-op is preparing to open its redeveloped North Hill store on February 26.

Located at 520 16th Ave. N.W., the new 40,000-square-foot location replaces the demolished previous version, which had operated for six decades. The property is now a mixed-use development and contains another 5,000 sf of ground-level retail, along with a . new store.

The grocery store will underpin more than189 multi-residential units above, and the site is slated to include a car wash and another 15,000 square feet of commercial services, including a walk-in clinic.

Phase I is due to be complete this year with the second phase set for completion in 2027.

Royop Development Corporation bought the site in 2022 and is overeeing the redevelopment.
