Canada ICI Expands to Halifax with Office Opening

Commercial real estate finance firm Canada ICI Capital has expanded to Halifax through a new office opening.

Local commercial real estate finance veterans Glenn Umlah, Ian MacInnis, Matthew Dobbelsteyn, and Geoff Umlah have joined Canada ICI in Halifax.

Glenn Umlah and Geoff Umlah moved to the company from CBRE. MacInnis joined the new Halifax team after spending most of the past four years at BMO Wealth Management in various Maritimes locations.

Matthew Dobbelsteyn moves to Canada ICI after serving this year as a GreenBirch Capital vice-president, following an almost 17-year tenure at TD Commercial Bank.

“We’ve always prioritized hiring local experts because every market has unique challenges and opportunities,” said Dale Klein, ICI Capital’s CEO. “Our strength is combining that local knowledge with the support of our national platform, which will now be coast to coast.”

Canada ICI has also expanded to Victoria with the opening of another new office.

The company funds $9 billion in projects annually and has offices in Vancouver, Toronto, Montréal, Calgary, Edmonton, Ottawa, Winnipeg, and now, Halifax and Victoria.
