Canada’s DSMA Expands into Europe

Canada’s Dealer Solutions Mergers and Acquisitions has expanded into Europe through a partnership with U.K.-based accounting firm UHY Hacker Young.

The partnership has international commercial real estate implications on each side of the Atlantic Ocean. Both firms specialize in auto dealership acquisitions and dispositions.

Farid Ahmad, DSMA’s founder and CEO, said the partnership will give the companies’ clients greater access to international opportunities and open up the North American and European markets.

Under the collaboration, North American buyers will have opportunities to acquire dealerships in Europe, particularly in the U.K., DSMA said in a news release. In turn, UHY will provide its clients with North American dealership purchasing opportunities in Canada and the U.S.

“The partnership aims to create a symbiotic relationship, where both sets of clients benefit from enhanced access to international deals, fostering growth and expansion in the automotive industry with sights on the rest of the world,” said DSMA in the news release.

DSMA is based in Toronto and has regional offices in Calgary, Chicago, Las Vegas, Montreal, Nashville, New York City; Scottsdale, Ariz., St. John’s, N.L.; Stuart, Fla., and Vancouver, BC.

London-headquartered UHY has 23 locations in England and Northern Ireland.
